Τρύπανα, δ᾿ εὐδίνητα, καὶ ὠκήεντα τέρετρα.
Ubi τρύπανα, furfuracula, seu perforacula τέρετρα terebrae sunt. Inter Daedali inventa, Plin. l. 7. c. 56. qui idem terebris vaginas ex oleastro, buxo ilice, ulmo, fraxino, utilissimas fieri docet, l. 16. c. 43. cui de oleastro praeivit Theophrastus, Hist. l. 5. c. 9. usus in bello quoque: Ita enim cum Henricus III.
